PRIZES

New for the 2009/2010 season, there is no minimum participation requirement.  Each participant is eligible for a prize after competing in one event.  Championship Series points are awarded the same as rankings points.

At the end of the series there must be at least three participants in a division for that division to qualify for a prize.

Participants can earn a prize in one skill division and one age division so are eligible for two prizes.

Prizes with a retail value of approximately $200.00 will be awarded to the highest point earner in each of the Men's and Women's SKILL divisions that qualify.

In the OPEN AGE and JUNIOR divisions that qualify, prizes will be awarded as follows to the highest point earners:
3-8   participants = prize with a retail value of approximately $100.00
9-14  participants = prize with a retail value of approximately $150.00
15+  participants = prize with a retail value of approximately $200.00

POINTS

The point system used for the State Rankings will also apply to the Championship Series.  Points earned in each division at a Series tournament will apply toward State Rankings and also toward Series points (which is a separate total).  The Series winners will be determined by the total points earned in the Series tournaments.

Sponsors

We are excited to announce the addition of E-Force as a Gold Level Sponsor for our 2008/2009 six-event CVRA/ Ektelon Championship Series. Racquetball4life and Ektelon continue their three year agreements (2007-2010) with CVRA as a Gold Level Sponsors.  Prokennex has signed on for another year as a Bronze Level Sponsor of the Series.  Our total prize package will exceed $5,000 for the Series winners.

In addition, Ektelon will provide the balls for each of the CVRA/Ektelon Championship Series events at no charge.  While the Ektelon Fireball (red) is the only ball imprinted with the CVRA Logo, TD's wishing to use a different Ektelon ball may choose between the Ektelon Premium Select (blue) or the Ektelon Classic (black).

Many thanks to our new sponsor and to our returning sponsors for all your support!
